Elizabeth Friedland is a single mom whose foster daughter just turned 18. After watching her “bonus daughter” struggle to get to and from work on the bus, Elizabeth decided to give her an incredible gift: a car!
On the teen’s birthday, Elizabeth sat her down at 7 a.m. and gave her a box. Since they couldn’t pick up the vehicle until the end of the month, she simply placed a photo inside above the words “your new car.”
The teen instantly broke down in happy tears, and we couldn’t help crying along with her!
“There’s no more deserving young woman,” Elizabeth wrote on Instagram. “I’ve seen her walk a mile to the bus stop, in all kinds of weather, to ride the bus an hour to work, only to do it all again in the dark. She’s never once complained. I’ve found her up studying at 1 a.m. I’ve seen her advocate for herself with poise and maturity beyond her years. She is so deserving of this and everything else wonderful that will come her way.”
