A dog mom named Jackie picked up her four-legged friend from surgery only to find her elderly neighbor waiting with the sweetest surprise. Knowing that the pet owner would likely have her hands full, the 86-year-old woman stood outside to save her a parking space. Even though it was raining, she didn’t leave the spot until Jackie and her pooch returned. The pet parent was so grateful for her neighbor’s thoughtful gesture, she just had to post about it online!
“My dog had surgery the other day and left the vet with some stitches,” Jackie wrote in her caption. “My neighbor checked in with me all day to see how my dog was doing. When I told her that I was picking him up, she surprised me and stood outside in the rain to save me a parking spot because they are difficult to come by.”
The day after her dog’s surgery, Jackie decided to return her neighbor’s kindness. The dog mom and her pup paid the elderly neighbor a surprise visit… and brought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
“Oh my goodness, did he pick these out?” the older woman joked.
It’s so important to get to know your neighbors, especially the ones with four paws! In fact, one mom was able to give her son the best birthday ever thanks to some local pooches.
