It’s the Battle Rounds of this season of The Voice, and these two performers performed a stunning rendition of the soulful Bread song, “Make It With You.”

During the Battle Rounds, pairs of singers from the same team are paired up to perform a duet. While they have to work together and mesh voices, they also want to stand out.

This performance of “Make It With You” by Bread was so interesting. Eli Ward and Jason Arcilla of Gwen Stefani’s team took the stage and brought completely different vibes. Eli’s voice was confident and clear, while Jason’s tone was gentle and soaring. The two really complemented one another.

The judges were polarized when it came to who won the battle. Two judges sided with Eli, while one sided with Jason. However, the choice comes down to Gwen.

Gwen was completely unsure of who came out on top.

“This is impossible. I have zero, zero idea of what to do at this point,” she said. She went on to highlight the growth that each singer has demonstrated during their time on The Voice.

Despite some back-and-forth, Gwen made a decision and the Battle was victorious for one of these two amazing performers. Check out the full clip of the “Make It With You” Battle Round performance on The Voice below, and hear these powerful voices for yourself!
