A content duck stands on a splash pad near other ducks. Text on the image reads: and we always do because she is so dramatic and we love it

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a pet duck? Sure, these feathered friends can be rather loud and messy, but they’re also a joy to have around. Just ask the folks who run The Little Cabin That Could! A number of adorable ducks call this place home. Each and every one of them are loved, of course. But there’s one duck in particular who stands out: A diva named Marshmallow.

Every single morning, Marshmallow expects her splash pad to be turned on and ready by the time she arrives. Unfortunately for this inpatient duck, her human parents aren’t ready to do that before 7 a.m. Unfortunately for her human parents, however, Marshmallow has no problem vocalizing her frustrations. See the precious Marshmallow in action in the video below!

“Marshmallow must be protected at all costs: that’s a duck that’s knows what it wants and isn’t afraid to let it be known,” someone writes in reply to this sweet video. Other commenters add, “In a world of Karens, we need more Marshmallows” and “I would like to come back to this world as a duck on your farm please.”

Meet Marshmallow, the Duck Diva Who is Stealing Hearts with Her Sassiness

Although Marshmallow is the stand-out diva in the group, she’s far from the only clingy duck on the farm. That’s why this hardworking family does their best to share both the joy and struggles of farm life. Speaking of which…

We adore having ducks on the farm, but they are NOT an impulse buy. They are quite messy, need a safe coop and run, and always need access to clean, fresh water (which they will absolutely destroy within 5 seconds)…but all that said we absolutely ADORE them.
