This is something that a retired paramedic in Atlanta, Georgia has been doing for a while now, and they share some of the drivers’ most wholesome reactions on their TikTok page, JoyNtheJourney. One video in particular, which has garnered over 30 million views only two days, may be their most popular.

In this video, we see who JoyNtheJourney calls “our favorite driver.” He’s been to their house many times with packages, but this day was different. He didn’t have anything to give them, but he did have something important to share: It was his last day at work. So he chose to stop by and let them know so he could officially bid them farewell.

“Ya’ll been the best house I worked with throughout this year, so I’m saying I hope y’all have a beautiful life,” he said. “I hope you have a beautiful life and hopefully one day we will meet again.”

Thousands of commenters have expressed how much this moment moved them, with many pointing out that this kind gesture proves he wasn’t there just for the snacks — the people who live there meant something to him, and he wanted to give them closure.

As far as seeing one another again goes, JoyNtheJourney is hoping that will happen sooner rather than later.
