Where will you be during today’s extraordinary total solar eclipse? If you’re in one of the many locations across the country experiencing totality, you’ll witness an unforgettable celestial event! Viewers in certain parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, and many other states will get to see it in all its glory. Those planning to watch the magic unfold will need to wear special eclipse glasses, which are different from normal sunglasses.

Even if you’re not in the path of totality (see map updates here), you may be able to see a partial solar eclipse. That is, if the weather permits it! Some areas are in for cloudy skies today, which means that there may not be much to see. CNN also warns travelers that they could be in for some severe weather!

That said, if you have a chance to watch today’s total solar eclipse, you should definitely take it. This opportunity won’t come around again for another couple of decades!
