Dogs Beg To Go Out At At 4 AM — Owner Gasps When He Sees Them Run To Freezing Woman.

dogs find woman freezing

Maybe they smelled something – dogs do have millions more olfactory receptors than humans, or perhaps they heard something fall, even though sound would have been muffled by the snow. Maybe in the silence of those early-morning hours, they could’ve picked up on the sound of labored breathing.

Whatever their super senses detected, Lonnie and Susan Chester’s two Labradoodles, Eva and Adam, insisted on being let outside their home in Norvell Township, Michigan, to investigate.

Confused by their mysterious behavior, Lonnie got up at 4:30 a.m. and opened the door to let them outside. But before the door was even completely open, the dogs pushed past his legs and quickly bolted out into the darkness.

What they discovered in those early-morning hours of January 13 was an elderly woman, dressed only in a nightgown, lying next to Lonnie’s truck.

Her family had been out searching for the 80-year-old woman but hadn’t been able to see her in the darkness.

“It could have been a tragic outcome had Adam and Eva not woken us,” Susan said. “I don’t know how they knew she was out there.”

Lonnie carried the woman inside the house and covered her in blankets before calling 911. Her worried family members arrived shortly after emergency responders arrived at the scene, and soon they were all headed to the hospital.

Thankfully, other than a touch of frostbite on one foot, the unidentified woman is reported to be in good health and recovering from the ordeal.
