One dog mom loves taking her pup to the McDonald’s drive-through, but she’s not just in it for the fast food. It’s actually the customer service that brings her back to the same location every time, even after moving neighborhoods. However, there’s one employee Maceon Mitchell and her pooch, Wynonna, usually hope to see at the window. What they didn’t know was how much the worker looked forward to greeting them, too!
In an absolutely heartwarming video on social media, Maceon caught some adorable footage from a McDonald’s run with her dog in the passenger seat. As the pair waited for their order at the window, Wynonna started to get really excited. She couldn’t wait to see her buddy!
“What do you think, baby?” Maceon asked the pooch. “Is your friend here today?”
As it turns out, they were in luck. Not only was the dog’s favorite McDonald’s employee working that day, but she was extra happy to see the four-legged customer. Right away, she gave the pup one of the special treats they kept on hand for pets. Then, she told Maceon that their visit meant the world to them that day.
“I’m so glad you came today, I’ve been having a really rough day,” the worker said, tearing up. “But your doggy is making me happy.”
Just seeing Wynonna cheered this employee up a lot, but Maceon still wanted to let her know that she was appreciated. So, she revealed that she hadn’t brought her dog to McDonald’s for the food. She and her pooch were really there to see the worker! In fact, they’d gone out of their way to do so, since they no longer lived in the same area.
“So we came down here just to see you because she loves it so much,” said the pet parent.
This wholesome interaction made a big impact on Maceon. She was touched that Wynonna had made such a big difference in this person’s mood!
“You never know what people are going through or what kind of day they’re having,” she wrote in her social media caption. “This McDonald’s worker brings in their own dog treats to give out and is always so happy. It broke my heart to see them upset today. I’m glad Wynonna could brighten their day a bit.”
Then, a few days later, Maceon took it a step further, surprising the woman with another visit from Wynonna… and an incredibly generous gift!
What a wonderful reminder to never pass up an opportunity to make someone happy!
