Dog Rescued From Fire Flips Out When He Recognizes Vet Who Saved His Life.

Last March, a homeless camp in West Palm Beach, Florida, went up in flames. As firefighters were dousing the fire, they discovered a helpless pooch tied to a tree.

The 2-year-old mixed breed’s body was covered with third-degree burns, so they untied him and rushed him to a nearby emergency veterinarian.

He was in bad shape when he arrived, but thanks to the expert care of staff at Jupiter Emergency and Specialty Center, the dog began to heal.

Over the course of his two months at Jupiter, the grateful pooch grew to love the entire staff, but he developed an especially tight bond with his “best buddy and favorite doctor,”Dr. Federico Latimer.

Thankfully, the dog made a full recovery and was adopted by another veterinarian at the clinic, Dr. Katelyn Thomas, who named him Fenrir– Fen, for short. Fen has spent the last nine months living the good life. Just look at how that smile spreads from cheek to cheek!

Fen even served as the official “walk mascot”for last month’s “Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s 2018 Annual Crown Walk for the Animals.â€

He marched alongside his human like a good boy, but no introductions were needed when he caught sight of his best friend,  Dr. Federico Latimer, the vet who so carefully tended to his every need during the most critical period in this sweet pup’s short life.

A big thanks goes out to the firefighters who came to Fen’s aid in his time of need and the staff at Jupiter Pet for ensuring this adorable lug lived to participate in this event.
