It began as a dream, spawned by hours on Pinterest. The goal was to transition from nursing to nursery. Knowing nothing about plants, she dreamt of having a greenhouse filled with plants. Brittany’s husband’s long hours of labor made the DIY greenhouse part of the dream come true. Using older windows, he set them in frames on a raised platform, and the building took shape.

Painting was a chore that Britt accomplished with painter’s tape and patience. When the building was ready, there were some plants, but another idea came calling. This DIY greenhouse was too beautiful to fill with dirt, so Britt added some light furnishings, creating a dreamy photo backdrop and a perfect place for small events. It is an oasis of perfection where dreams can come true. Indeed, this one already had.
Partnering with photographer Grace Sagura at Honey Creek Photography, this new dream took shape. The Gilded Glasshouse in New Braunfels, Texas, was born. Photographers can rent the space to meet their clients, or clients can work with Honey Creek Photographers. The building and grounds create a stunning backdrop that can be altered to suit the needs of clients. The grand opening was a success.
