Disabled Parrot “Flies” Again With A Little Help From Her Human Mom.

A woman smiles wide as she holds her disabled parrot, Mya, who is flapping her wings.

When we love someone, we do whatever it is that we can to help them out. For Kristen Suarez and her wife, Mariana, that includes their beloved pet bird, Mya. At birth, this sweet bird found herself in a tragic incident. This left her unable to fly — but that hasn’t stopped this disabled parrot from trying!

Still, no amount of trying will make it to where Mya can ever fly again… at least not on her own. One day, while Kristen was playing with their bird, she noticed something interesting.

Kristen ran around the living room as she held Mya. As she did this, Mya began to flap her wings. Not only that, but she seemed to have a blast while doing it!

“She loves when we take her flying,” the couple shares. “And at the end of the [flight], she always laughs out loud.”
