Dexter The Misbehaving Donkey “Belongs In Federal Prison,” If You Ask His Mom

Misbehaving donkey "belongs in federal prison" accorfing to his mom.

Dexter is a donkey who has no idea how to behave in a normal, rational way. According to his mom, he “belongs in federal prison.” That’s a pretty stiff sentence for a donkey, but you might agree after researching Dexter’s behavior patterns. This misbehaving donkey is working with fewer brain cells than most other animals. His mom uses colorful language during their exchanges, but the laughs are worth it.

The video begins with Dexter playing with a large ball. He falls flat on his face as his mom explains that he’s pretty durable. As an explanation, she offers that he must be durable because if he broke a leg, they’d have to shoot him, and the devil wouldn’t take him back.

Dexter spends his day picking on the other animals in the corral and sticking his nose into everything he can. He belongs to Hayden Kristal, who also owns several other famous animals. There is Squidward and Chicken Nugget, two ornery horses. If you’ve ever heard of the neighbors stopping by to tell a farmer their horse died — that is this farm. Hayden’s horses like to sleep in the corral and lay so still that people passing by mistake them for dead.

But returning to Dexter, he doesn’t let a minute go by without doing something. He will pick up sticks and carry them around, endangering the other animals. He wants to eat large bugs crawling across the ground.

At the height of her frustration, while Dexter was busy trying to eat her stocking cap, Hayden uttered the best line to describe her misbehaving donkey. “You are the inspiration for pinatas.”

Please share if you think Dexter is deserving or if he’s getting a bum rap.
