Nervous Girl Freezes During National Anthem— Then Thousands Of Fans Help Her Out.

Last year, Lauralie Mufute had the honor of singing the National Anthem at a New Jersey Devils’ hockey game. She absolutely crushed the performance and was invited back this year to sing again.

This year, however, Lauralie’s nerves got the best of her.

She started out strong at the Devils game versus the San Jose Shark, performing in front of an estimated 1,500 people at The Prudential Center.

Then, just seconds into the song, something happens. Lauralie freezes up, forgetting the lyrics. She backtracks, trying to prompt herself again, but falters.

But what could have been an incredibly awkward moment turned into something beautiful as every fan in the stadium picked up the song where she left off, belting the Anthem with all their hearts.

The young singer gives the crowd a big, grateful smile and graciously continues singing with her mic turned off.
