Dentist Shows Off Magic Tricks And His Tiny Patient Is Amazed.

When you’re a kid, going to the dentist can be a very scary event.

Dental offices are often cold, sterile places filled with strange smells and sounds. The act of opening your mouth to allow someone to stick their gloved fingers in there doesn’t exactly come naturally, either! For these reasons, Dr. Eyal Simchi of Riverfront Pediatric Dentistry in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, has come up with a fun way to break the ice with his young patients.

Dr. Simchi has five children of his own at home, so he knows a thing or two about what makes kids tick. He has also devoted his dental career to helping children, particularly those with special needs. As it says on his website, “nurturing children isn’t simply what he does: it’s who he is!”

In addition to providing a fun, aquatic-themed office space for his patients, Dr. Simchi offers kids iPads and 3D flooring to soothe their fears and keep them entertained. He often uploads videos of himself amusing his tiny patients on his Facebook page. He will do whatever it takes to keep them happy, even singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” as he fills a cavity.

But the most incredible aspect of Dr. Simchi’s “tear-free” environment has to be the dentist’s magic skills!

Dr. Simchi says he wants to make kids look forward to their dental visits, so he greets patients with fun sleight-of-hand magic tricks that leave them giggling and relaxed. In one video, we see the dentist using a few small, glowing lights to amuse his tiny patient.

The look on this adorable child’s face is priceless! He honestly has no idea where the lights are going, and you can see the amazement in his eyes.

The doctor keeps up his magic for several minutes, and the little boy is rapt the entire time. By the end, he’s ready to get to work, the child is relaxed, and looking forward to what comes next!

We wish all dentists took the time to speak to kids on their level like this! Oral hygiene is an important aspect of your overall health, so learning to take good care of your teeth when you’re little is key. Great work, Dr. Simchi!
