Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes Miss James Van Der Beek Dearly

There was no denying the chemistry between the original Dawson’s Creek cast members Joshua Jackson, Katie Holmes, and James Van Der Beek.

“We had a lot of incredible memories together,” Katie Holmes told Entertainment Tonight. “And a lot of really wonderful personal growing-up stories. We care deeply for his family, and all of my memories are for his family and for each other.”

Joshua Jackson echoed his co-star and dear friend’s sentiment.

“He was an amazing father and an amazing partner,” Joshua added. “That time we all shared together was life-changing for each one of us in collective and individual ways. But his final form was his perfect form. So that’s what I’ll always take away.”

James Van Der Beek left behind his wife, Kimberly, and their six children, Olive, Joshua, Annabel Leah, Emilia, Gwendolyn, and Jeremiah. Following his death, Kimberly shared a message of gratitude on Instagram.

“The outpouring of support has been tremendous. It’s held our family in the most beautiful of ways. You all went absolutely above and beyond anything I could have ever expected in supporting us and honoring James. I am deeply grateful. There is so much more to share here. And in time- I will,” she wrote.
