In it, contestants’ successes depend on presentation, sound, and song choice… but sometimes judges just aren’t impressed.
The 2013 season contestant Stephanie Woods tip-toed that line singing “I Drove All Night” by Celine Dion during arena auditions week 3. Though a beautiful song, the judges didn’t like her delivery.
But in a rare occasion, the audience refused to let her get the boot and began cheering “One more song!” And it worked! Her second chance performance covered ‘Songbird’ by Eva Cassidy and she nailed it! The judges passed her through to the boot camp round.
