This couple may have gotten a divorce, but even after all these years, they’re still there for each other when it counts: for example, when one of them gets cancer. A young woman on TikTok recently shared the most beautiful video about her parents, who separated over 20 years ago. Her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and her dad still showed up to take care of his ex. Now that’s love!
In the TikTok video, Dad helps Mom with her exercises, spots her while she goes up the stairs, and keeps her company. It’s amazing to see how much support this woman is getting from her ex-husband more than two decades after their divorce! Commenters were truly moved to see two people taking care of each other like this even though they’re not together anymore.
“Some people are better friends than lovers, it’s so great they have each other,” one user said.
Another shared, “I took care of my ex-husband during hospice. I loved the life and children he gave me. I owed it to him.”
One person offered a truly wholesome take after watching the divorced couple’s response to Mom getting cancer.
