Not all heroes wear capes.

Any dance teacher can tell you that trying to organize a ballet recital for a group of three-year-olds is a little bit like trying to herd cats. Not all kids have the temperament to get up in front of an auditorium full of people and perform, after all. For one little girl in a now-viral video, stage fright kicked in the second she walked out and saw all those people staring back at her.

The little girl at the far left is simply not having any of this. Even from the back of the room, you can hear her screams of terror. The instructor tries her best to soothe her, but she’s inconsolable.
All of the other tutu-clad dancers look rather disappointed, and the dance they’ve worked hard to learn seems doomed to be ruined by one crying child. Suddenly, a hero appears!

The little girl’s father breezes in from backstage, “flying” his younger baby in to save the day. Without hesitation, this confident dad takes a spot at the end of the dance line, right next to his still-whimpering little girl.

Dad wasted no time in copying the dance instructor’s movements, doing a fancy pirouette right off the bat! This is one guy who is not afraid of looking silly. He would clearly do anything for his daughter!

Most impressively, he does all of the moves while still holding tightly to his baby! The little girl is totally reassured now that she’s got her big, strong dad by her side, and you can hear people in the audience giggling.
He stays out there for the entire routine, and as the music winds down he even gives a cheeky little wave to the crowd on his way off stage.

We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty much in love with this awesome dad! It takes a very secure guy to get up there, surrounded by tutus, and dance like a ballerina for your daughter, but we have a feeling that he’d move heaven and earth for his kids. Great parenting for the win!
