Eric Baker plays trumpet with the West Texas Symphony by day, and by night he’s a dad who loves to embarrass his three daughters. But his latest attempt to make his oldest daughter blush didn’t work out as he planned.
Eric took his trumpet to the school pickup line one day and decided to play a tune while he waited. With the windows down, he played Tequilla by The Champs as loud as he could. He recorded the mini-concert on his dashboard GoPro, and it seemed everyone enjoyed the treat.
As he blasts his horn, you can hear someone say “That’s so awesome!” in the background, and when he gets to the part where everyone is supposed to yell “Tequila!” that’s exactly what they did.
When his daughter gets in the car, she’s full of smiles, and not even remotely embarrassed that he dad decided to play his trumpet in the car.
“That was fun. I liked that,” she says to Eric.
“Today’s agenda included picking up my daughter from school with a lively tune! I feel like ‘Trumpet Tuesday’ needs to be a thing!” he captioned under the video, which he posted on TikTok.
We’d say he’s right. He should make that a weekly event!
