Dad Makes A Pit Stop Before Walking Daughter Down The Aisle For The Most Wholesome Reason

If you’ve ever planned a wedding, you understand exactly how stressful it can be to make sure everything goes according to plan. That being said, sometimes the unplanned moments are the ones that turn out to be the best. That’s certainly the case for Holly and Alfie Hatch’s wedding. Leading up to the day, the plan was to have the bride’s dad walk her down the aisle. Little did the wedding party know, however, that the bride and her dad had a surprise in store for her stepdad.

At first, Dad does exactly as he’s been instructed to do. But as the two of them approach the guests, he makes an unexpected move down the aisle… without Holly. Instead, he makes his way to her stepdad, gesturing for him to join them. He does and, together, the two of them lead the bride to her groom.

“No one was expecting that,” Holly shares. “Me and my dad had it planned and didn’t tell a soul, a lovely moment. What a feeling walking down the isle.”

I can only imagine how special this moment must have been for this loving stepdad. That’s why so many folks, especially those who have or are stepparents, are sharing their appreciation for this kind gesture.

“I love this,” one person writes. “Being a step parent isn’t easy. Well done gentlemen.”

“You are very right,” Holly says in a reply to the previous comment. “And it was a long road to get like this, but we did it.”

In addition to the praise Holly and her dad are receiving, folks are also pointing out that she has lots of great men in her life to be thankful for.

“How lucky are you!!!” one person says. “You have three men who love [you] to the end of the world. You look stunning! Congratulations.”
