Kids learn a lot from watching their parents. That’s why this dad is serious about setting a positive example for his daughter as well as for other dads. TikTok user @sportyspotlight believes that it’s important to show young women that, not only can they play sports, but that women’s teams are worth cheering on! He recently shared a sweet video of himself watching women’s basketball with his little girl.
“It’s subtle, but Lily just came by, and as I was watching the WNBA highlights, sat down quietly and watched,” he says in the clip. “No one said anything, but that’s okay. She was seeing dad watch women play sports, and I know that means something to her. And it means something to me, too.”
