Kate glowed as she strolled to the historic church on the Sandringham estate, where the royal family prefers to spend their holidays. Her husband, Prince William, and children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, were by her side smiling as people celebrated the princess’s health and happiness following months of chemotherapy. Queen Camilla and King Charles, who is still battling cancer, led the walk.
Following the Christmas morning service, Kate Middleton and her family greeted people who were waiting outside the church hoping to get a look at the royals. Kate smiled and hugged dozens of people who stopped to share their own cancer journeys and wished her well as she continues to heal. Meanwhile, Prince William adoringly watched with love.
The princess dazzled in a green, full-length Alexander McQueen coat that she also wore during a trip to Leeds in January 2023. She paired it with a green and navy plaid scarf and a green hat.
The Christmas walk was especially emotional for Kate Middleton because it marked the end of what Prince William called the “hardest” year. The 42-year-old spent much of 2024 out of the public eye after she was diagnosed with cancer following an unrelated abdominal surgery. She announced the end of her treatment on September 9 and has been slowly returning to her royal duties.
