The fourth Thursday in April serves as Bring a Kid to Work Day in the United States. Each year, boys and girls accompany their parents to their jobs to see what life as an adult is really all about. This year, Craig Melvin’s 12-year-old son, Delano, stopped by Studio 1A to show his pals at Today what he has to offer.

“My son, Delano, woke up early, very early,” Craig joked as his son came onto the set.
Delano took time to hang out with his dad and funny man Al Roker, who loved having him on set.
Craig Melvin’s Son is a Natural
Of course, he’s only 12, but it’s pretty clear that Craig Melvin’s son comes from a very talented gene pool. He smiled, laughed, and kept his dad and Al entertained the entire time he was on camera.
“Had the best time bringing Delano into Studio 1A for Bring Your Kid To Work Day! Nothing like sharing a little behind-the-scenes magic with him and seeing it all through his eyes,” Craig Melvin shared on Facebook. “Safe to say he stole the show (and maybe my job). Days like this remind me what it’s all about.”
Fans love seeing Craig Melvin and his son interacting on camera.
“I loved when he said oh shoot..your face showed ooops in case he said something similar..lolol,” a fan wrote.
“I swear when you smile big your cheeks look like Dizzie Gillespie’s! So great to see such an engaged father. You da man, Craig!” Another person agreed.
If Craig Melvin doesn’t watch it, his son might just get his job.
“I absolutely love this. What a great dad you are and a day that your son will remember forever! He probably will take your job one day LOL (or who knows, maybe y’all will be co-anchors!)” A fan joked.
