Little Accordionist Plays Folk Song For Empty Field Until Cow Herd Sprints Over.

Cows are suckers for a lot of things, like a good hay bale, long naps in the sun, and deep massages.

But you know what else they can’t resist? Believe it or not, a good folk song. We know, it sounds a bit far-fetched, but cattle have a great sense of hearing – far superior to humans, so it stands to reason that they’d enjoy a perfectly pitched tune just like the next guy. In the charming video below, a young girl finds this out for herself!

Sitting outside a field in Kilmichael Cork, Ireland, the little girl plays her accordion. Everything’s pretty quiet as she begins her little tune, but if you look closely, you can see something off in the distance…

Maybe a quarter mile away, you can see a herd of cattle!

When the girl, Grace Lehane, starts playing an Irish folk song, “Britches Full of Stitches,”it’s clear that there’s movement in the distance. In just a few seconds, you see that they’re coming in hot!

“It’s like a stampede!”says her dad, Denis Lehane.

“They love that music, play it again for them, give them another tune!â€

Despite their apparent love of the music, the cows keep their distance, stopping 15 or 20 feet from the gate for the encore. One cow’s so enthralled, he even shoves a smaller one out of the way to get a better view!

“They were udderly enthralled,”one viewer quipped. “Well done,”wrote another.
