Coca-Cola fans rejoice; Costco officially began changing its food court fountain beverages from Pepsi Cola to Coke. The warehouse store announced it would make the switch in a December news release. Costco switched from Coke to Pepsi in 2013 and exclusively sold the products for 12 years. It’s decision to reintroduce Coca-Cola products, which are the most popular selling sodas in the United States, according to USA Today. For years, Pepsi came in second, but Dr. Pepper knocked them out of that spot in 2023.

Coca-Cola Fans Can’t Wait For Costco To Make The Food Court Switch Nationwide
While some Costco locations are already serving Coca-Cola, it will take time before all stores make the switch. The switch should be complete by fall, according to a statement shared with Fox Business.
As word of the Costco changeover began to spread on social media, Pepsi and Coke fans began to share their very strong opinions on the matter.
TikToker Austin Hafen shared a video of Costco employees changing the signage from Pepsi Cola to Coca-Cola, which has amassed more than 13 million views. The 6-second clip prompted nearly 500,000 likes and 7,300 comments.
Team Pepsi had a lot to say about the switch.
“Boooo Pepsi is so much better,” someone commented.
“Pepsi is better, big L for Costco,” another person agreed.
But the Coca-Cola fans can’t wait to have a crisp Coke while shopping at Costco.
“Yasss! Now I can walk around Costco sipping a Diet Coke,” someone shared.
“Yall wilding. Coke is way better than Pepsi,” another person agreed.
“This is the besttttttt – coke is infinitely better than Pepsis periodt,” a Coke fan wrote.
The switch made some so excited, they decided to get a Costco membership.
“This is the reason I would get a membership,” a fan admitted.
