Queen Elizabeth II recently celebrated 70 years on the throne with a Platinum Jubilee, and she was more than happy to share the spotlight with as many adorable corgis as possible!

That’s why local businesses put together what they called a Corgi Café Party to honor the queen’s favorite breed. The pop-up event happened on May 29, 2022, and it was paws-itively a blast for both humans and pups alike!

“If you have a Corgi (or just love them) then don’t miss the chance to treat your Corgi to a right royal day out, meet lots of fellow Corgis, Corgi owners, and dog lovers and be part of an exciting, buzzing experience,” their official website announced. “Our breed-specific events are known to be the perfect way to socialise your dog whether they’re an excitable puppy or older pet, and a lovely place to meet like-minded people.”

This royal event was made with all kinds of corgis in mind. While there were plenty of space for rambunctious puppies to run around and play, there was also a “chill zone” to… well, chill! It was the perfect spot for nervous, older dogs who needed a moment to take a break from all of the excitement the day had to offer.

As is the case with any good café, there were also lots and lots of delicious treats! For our four-legged friends, there were (free) puppuccinos and “pupcakes” and for the humans, there was a whole menu with brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, and spring cocktail options!

To top it all off, the event even included a dog photographer who was providing free, professional photos that were available for guests to download after the event – because who wouldn’t want a keepsake from this insanely adorable day?

“It’s insanity – it’s crazy,” one guest said with a smile. “There’s just corgis running around galore, everywhere you look there’s a corgi jumping and running … and she’s (her dog) loving it. This is her heaven.”

Wow! It sounds like everyone had a pup-tastic day celebrating both Queen Elizabeth II and the silly, lovable dogs that corgis are known to be. We definitely understand why she loves them so much!
