The man was Robert Morris. He was addicted to drugs and alcohol, estranged from what family he had left, and was wandering the streets after a flood washed away his ramshackle campground in the woods. But there was a time when Mr. Morris was just like the rest of us… full of life, love and family.
You see, after losing both of his parents and a sibling when he was young, Morris turned to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain… and the rest was history.
Deputy Holman was overcome with compassion for Morris. That very night, he gave a human being in despair a ray of hope that would lead him out of the darkness and into the light of life.
6-months-later, Morris left a voicemail for Deputy Holman that rocked him to the core… Listen below.
