When the Conway Area Humane Society took in Prissy, she was in bad shape. According to the Humane Society’s video, Prissy had been abandoned on “a concrete slab” where she lived in “the hot Tennessee sun.” The Human Society rescued her, set her up with a comfy bed and blankets, and had her spayed.

Can you imagine how Prissy must have felt? She was probably scared and overwhelmed by the painful surgery and unfamiliar surroundings. And that’s why one Humane Society worker stepped in to go the extra mile for the recovering pup.
Debra Cameron, shelter manager at the Conway Area Humane Society, had her camera rolling when she approached Prissy’s kennel; she thought she might catch a video of Prissy “wagging her tail in her sleep.” Instead, Debra caught this priceless moment.
She caught coworker Chrissy Ireland comforting Prissy, by lying beside the pup on the floor. “Moments like this are a regular sight at the shelter,” writes Debra in a Facebook post, “catching them on camera is rare.
“Chrissy’s love for Prissy is so evident in this sweet video. She clearly wasn’t doing this for attention or praise– in fact, she’s embarrassed with Debra catches the moment! The text in the video below says it best: “This is not just a job, these are not just animals. We are committed to the human-animal bond… We are your Conway Area Humane Society.” Chills.
