Opie Hughes has suffered from protanopia – red & green color blindness – for most of his life. The condition affects his ability to perceive many color spectrums.
But he recently heard about a new pair of glasses called EnChroma that have the ability to correct his impairment.
Unfortunately, the glasses run for over $350 a pair, which meant he couldn’t afford them. But, unbeknownst to him, Opie’s sister set up a Go Fund Me page and raised the money needed!
This video captures Opie’s heartwarming response when he tries on the glasses for the first time. Watch as he is stunned, sheds a tear, and breathes in overwhelming joy at the end of the clip. He even does a double-take at the flower bed because he can’t believe the colors. It is incredible!
