You could say that Leonard Cohen’s, “Hallelujah,” is one of the most touching and well-known songs out there. There are countless renditions all over the internet emulating the emotional reputation of the composition.
But when the group Cor Glanaethwy sang their own version on Britain’s Got Talent they staked their claim on the top of that list. The 165-piece Welsh choir shook the audience and the judges with their rousing semi-final performance. First everyone was silently in awe, and then they burst into applause at the end.
The group finished third place on the show, but have since faced a flood of offers including a gig in Patagonia.
