Melissa Coe just realized that, as an adult, she can have as many animals as she wants and no one can stop her. So now Mellissa is making up for lost time. Melissa wanted to show off some of her chickens online. She sat in their enclosure and began gathering all the happy little birds together. Unfortunately, one lone chicken photobombed the video.

Silly chicken photobomb aside, Melissa has wasted no time in filling her quota of animals. She has dogs, cats, chickens, and four children (although they don’t count). The chickens and other animals might just be her ticket to sanity in an insane life.
Melissa is an author, mom, animal wrangler, and overall superwoman. Melissa’s first daughter, Lila, was born with cerebral palsy when Melissa was just 19. Lila is now ten. Melissa attended school, became a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), and secured a full-time job. Then she went to nursing school and is now a Registered Nurse, still working full-time.
We’re going to repeat it — superwoman. You can learn more about their story here. You can order Melissa’s book, “The Adventures of Lila,” on the website. Lila has her own Instagram account and Facebook page, moderated by her Mom.
Remember the little chicken doing the photobomb? That little Silkie is a problem child. Every other video Melissa has tried to record before and after the one posted above ends the same way. Incorrigible.

To follow Melissa and her family, find them on TikTok. In addition to raising two special-needs daughters and caring for animals, she shares information about her weight loss journey, gardening, home improvement, and more. We doubt she will ever get a chicken video without a photobomb, though.
