It’s a new year, and Chick-fil-A wants to celebrate with something old. Well, not really old, rather classic. The fast-food chain celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2026 and has fun planned for the entire year. To start the year, Chick-fil-A will begin selling frosted sodas and floats on January 5. This has been offered at some locations before, but the promotion is now available nationwide. But that’s just the beginning of the fun. Chick-fil-A also has something in store for collectors.

Chick-fil-A Classic Cups are Back
Instagrammer Snackolator shared that Chick-fil-A will also have a series of retro cups available for purchase starting this week.
“Chick-fil-A also is selling Classic Cups nationwide for $3.99, and they’ll have a new design every few weeks with 3,000 random gold ‘Fan Cups’ that will give you a free year of Chick-fil-A – these are in bags so you won’t know if it’s a gold up until you open it,” an Instagram post explains.
Seeing the retro cups made some customers nostalgic.
“I remember the little lemon birds! No idea how to “randomly” distribute cups that are that obviously winners though,” someone wrote.
“How about 1967 prices,” another person suggested.
This new Chick-fil-A promotion excited many fans, but some worried employees might get the gold cups before customers cold purchase them.
“Yea that gold cup is getting snagged as soon as an employee sees it,” someone commented.
But as one person pointed out, Chick-fil-A is trying to make the contest fair for everyone.
“For anyone reading; no employees/management can’t see through the bag. The bag the cups are in aren’t see through. This gives anyone a chance to a gold cup,” someone shared.
We don’t know about you, but a float sounds pretty darn tasty right about now.
