A waitress in Hawaii got a hand up in a big way over the weekend when a big hearted couple decided to invest in her life. Cayla Chandara left her home in California several years ago to attend school on the Big Island. Like many college students, Cayla had to work multiple waitressing jobs to make ends meet.

It was in the middle of shift at Niobium’s Thai Cuisine in Waikiki, Honolulu when Cayla waited on an Australian couple with major ulterior motives. After the couple left the restaurant, Cayla was shocked to find they’d left a $400 tip on their bill. Almost double the cost of the bill itself!

During dinner, the couple had told Cayla where they were staying, so after work the waitress ran their hotel to thank them. She was able to send a note, flowers, and chocolates to thank the couple for their outrageous generosity.

But they weren’t done with Cayla yet.
The next day they came back to the restaurant and offered to pay off Cayla’s student loans and debt… a sum of over $10,000 dollars. Their only ask? That Cayla strive to be her best self and that their donation remain anonymous.
