Cat With Purrfect Zoom Attendance “Graduates” Alongside Her Human.

Woody Allen once said, “80 percent of success in life is just showing up.” There’s so much truth in that statement!

Francesca Bourdier did a lot more than just show up to earn her degree from the University of Texas at Austin, but when graduation rolled around, she wanted to acknowledge the friend who kept her company during every single Zoom class she attended: Her cat, Suki.

Like many 2022 graduates, online learning was a necessity for college students like Francesca. She says Suki always sat right next to her during her online lessons. The cat even seemed genuinely interested in the classes!

“I was pretty much at my apartment for most of the time and I had my cat next to me,” she explained. “Whenever I would have my Zoom lecture on, it’s like she almost wanted to listen in on it, and she would always just sit by my laptop.”

When she realized that Suki had technically logged the hours to get a degree, Francesca decided to commemorate their big achievement with matching outfits. This isn’t the first time she’s gone matchy-matchy with her best feline friend; Francesca owns a clothing company that offers matching outfits for pets.

She went online and found a little black cap and gown that matched hers perfectly. Once they were both decked out in their class of 2022 finery, she snapped a few photos and uploaded them to her social media pages. They were an instant hit!

“Yes, my cat attended every zoom lecture I had so we will BOTH be graduating from THE University of Texas at Austin together,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Only here because I saw you two on the news and I myself am a crazy cat (lady) who’s obsessed (with) this entire situation,” wrote one commenter.

“This is the most adorable thing ever! Congrats to you both!” said another.

Francesca says she is happy she had Suki to support her as she earned her degree! We wonder what these two new members of the class of 2022 will accomplish next?
