This cat’s favorite part of the day is waking up his baby sister, and it’s the most precious thing you’ve ever seen! Heather Mees shared an adorable video on social media of her pet’s morning routine. As soon as Mom gets up, this four-legged alarm clock starts begging to be let into her daughter’s bedroom. He just can’t wait to hang out with the little girl!

In her hilarious clip, Heather caught the best footage of her cat chomping at the bit to wake the baby. This kitty led his owner straight to the little one’s bedroom door, then proceeded to paw at the doorknob. Finally, Mom opened it for him. In a flash, the cat leaped right into the baby’s crib!
As the sleepy girl sat up, the animal started licking her as though she were his own kitten. When Mom lifted her daughter out of the crib, the cat jumped up onto the dresser so that he could continue grooming her. What a doting brother!
“He loves his sissy so much,” Heather wrote in the caption of her video. “But I’m not sure she loves her hairstyle when he’s done.”
While it’s true that the baby girl’s hair was a mess after the cat finished licking her, that’s a small price to pay for so much genuine affection! Commenters thought this kitty’s relationship with the little human was way too cute.
“The way he was so desperate to get to the baby,” wrote one user.

This little girl also gets kisses from her feline friend before bed. While Dad was reading to his daughter one night, the sweet cat began licking the baby’s head right in the middle of the story. Obviously, Heather had to capture this heart-melting moment on camera!
