Photographer John F. Rhodes was recently at a high school football game to photograph the local high school sports scene, but he ended up capturing something else… And his photo is resonating with parents everywhere.

The photo is actually of another photographer at the game, Melissa Wardlow. Melissa is a full-time teacher and also owns her own photography business, plus she takes pictures at the Mansfield Lake Ridge high school football games where her husband is a coach. Oh, and she’s also a mom of two. In the photo, posted on Facebook by Dallas Morning News, Melissa can be seen photographing her husband’s game– DSLR in one hand and milk bottle in the other– with her 3-year-old son, Jordan, on her back and her 8-month-old daughter, Addision, strapped to her front.

“I’m on the sideline every Friday night taking pictures. Rain, snow, sleet, doesn’t matter I’m there.” Melissa told Dallas Morning News, ” When the kids came along then they just became a little accessory, and they get to go too! To make sure they’re safe, I just strap ’em on and away we go!”
Melissa said her kids love the game. Jordan enjoys watching and getting fist bumps from the players, and little Addison is content just being close to Mom.
Melissa is so dedicated to her roles as Mom and photographer that she was even photographing the games when she was pregnant. In fact, she had baby Addison right after a game last year, stopping at a hospital on the way home after the game ended.
