The performance in California was already a special show. As country music star David Lynch shared, “We were freaking out, man, thinking this show would get canceled because of the fires…So glad that didn’t happen.”
But that wasn’t the only reason it stuck with him. During a scheduled meet-and-greet, Lynch got the chance to meet fan and California firefighter, Tony Cresta. Later, during the show, the singer called Tony and his girlfriend, Taylor Hill, onto the stage.

Taylor had no idea but soon after the couple walked to the singer, Tony quickly turned to his girlfriend of three years and asked her to “make him the happiest man in the world.”

He then dropped to one knee, presented a beautiful ring, and asked, “What are you doing the rest of your life?”

Based on her reaction, the obvious answer is that she’ll be spending it as a happy and loving wife.

Taylor later revealed that she didn’t have the slightest idea what was going on. She thought that Tony was called on stage to talk about his work as a firefighter. In actuality, the dream proposal was something that Tony spent six months planning.
Because of the wildfire situation in California, the proposal almost didn’t happen. But thanks to a little luck and a big hand from a country music sensation, Tony and Taylor will be making their trip down the aisle.
