School Bus Driver Sees Stray On Snowy Road & Strikes Up Sweetest Daily Ritual.

The first time she spotted him, he was digging through a trash can, showing all the signs of living a hard life on the streets. The thin, bedraggled pup was obviously a stray, making his way through the world alone.

But this unnamed bus driver was determined to help. Ever since that first encounter, she never passes by emptyhanded, and it’s become a ritual for two years: an unscheduled stop on her daily school bus route to perform a simple act of kindness. Same time, same place, Monday through Friday.

“He sits and patiently waits every day no matter what the weather is like,” said Kareena Grywinski, who heads Feed The Furbabies Canada.

The bus driver has requested anonymity, but she volunteers with the organization, which is dedicated to raising funds and feeding animals in need.

They help dogs in rescue shelters, family pets left behind after natural disasters, and strays living on the side of lonely, snow-covered roads.

Whenever the bus driver pulls up, the friendly pup patiently waits for her to open the doors – and after she tosses a bag of food to him, he trots away, tail wagging.

Feed The Furbabies is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Kareena says the dog this driver has been feeding is just one of more than 100 strays in the community who need a home. A recent report suggests that the city has the second highest dog-to-human ratio in the entire country.

So until more people sign up to foster the homeless animals, Feed the Furbabies – and individual volunteers like this kindhearted bus driver – provide whatever comfort and sustenance they can.

Watch as this stray picks up his daily meal in the adorable video below, and share to raise awareness about the plight of homeless animals.
