Buccaneers Linebacker Shaq Barrett Honors Daughter After Winning Play: “Wish She Was Here.”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers owe their Sunday victory against the Chicago Bears to linebacker Shaq Barrett. After scoring the first touchdown of his career in the last leg of the game, he dedicated the win to his late daughter, Arrayah, who passed away earlier this year. Barrett’s last-minute maneuver earned the Buccaneers a winning score of 27-17.

“I told her, ‘I love you, miss you and wish she was here,'” the athlete recalled, according to ESPN.

After his touchdown, Barrett blew a kiss to the sky for his daughter. The two-year-old drowned in the family’s pool on April 30, leaving her parents to grieve the horrific loss. Barrett has chosen to dedicate the season to Arrayah’s memory.
