Artists from all genres make their way to The Voice stage, but Bryan Olesen’s audition is blowing folks away in a particularly rare fashion for this competition. At 49 years old, he’s no stranger to performing live. His Christian band, VOTA, has garnered quite a following. Still, his musical talents have largely gone under the radar, making this an incredible opportunity for him.

It’s clear that Bryan recognizes this because he doesn’t hold back one bit during his version of Love Runs Out by OneRepublic. From the very first note, Bryan captures the attention of the coaches. In fact, almost everyone, except Chance the Rapper, turns their chair for him within seconds!

“That was a performance I felt without seeing anything. When I did turn around, the package was complete,” Reba shares, later adding, “You are absolutely incredible. I love the song, I love your style. The pitch, everything was great. … Way to go! I’m so glad you’re here.”

Fans of The Voice can’t agree more with the coaches’ feedback. In fact, many of them are pointing out that while country and pop artists are quite popular are on the show, there’s been a lack of rock representation… until now!
