British Girl Adorably Rants About The Price Of Ice Cream, “Bloody 9 Pounds!”

It’s no secret that inflation has taken a toll on most of us. This is true both in and out of the United States. But according to a video shared by a UK mom named Karis Lambert, even kids are taking notice of how ridiculously expensive just about everything is nowadays. This is something that Karis’ two daughters experienced firsthand when they attempted to get treats from a man in an ice cream truck — emphasis on attempted. No ice cream in hand, one girl goes on one of the best rants I’ve ever seen.

While going on this fantastic rant, we learn a few things from this little girl, whose name is Marnie. First, there’s the absurd cost of the ice cream: 9 quid for two. This would be about $11.25 in U.S. dollars. But that’s not the only reason Marnie has to vent — she was ready to pay in cash, but he only takes cards. With these issues combined, Marnie doesn’t hold back her criticism.

“He’s not getting nowhere with that,” this wise child yells, ending her rant with a confidence most of can only dream of having, “Yeah, bet he can hear me!”

Despite the bummer of not getting any ice cream, these two adorable girls handle the disappointment like pros. In fact, they’re happy to wait and get a bite of ice cream from their own house instead.

“She were fuming at the fact [they] were 9 quid,” mom recounts, “but when he said he doesn’t accept cash I think that topped it off for her hahahah.”

The only thing better than the content of Marnie’s spot-on rant is the incredible British accent that accompanies every word. Seriously, this rant was made for a British accent like this one.

“She’s lived this life before,” someone jokes in the comments. “She can’t believe what she’s seeing.”

“Does she offer services by the hour?” another asks. “I’ve got a water bill I don’t agree with and I think she could handle the situation better than me.”
