Cemal Senturk of Trabzon, Turkey, has lived in an apartment with his dog Boncuk for the past nine years. The mixed breed pup is his best friend, a companion who stays by his side day and night. So when Cemal got sick and had to go to Medical Park Hospital in January, Boncuk flat-out refused to stay home and wait for her human to return!
Their family still isn’t sure how Boncuk kept escaping from their apartment. All they know is that the little dog showed up at the hospital doors every day and refused to leave. Hospital staffers took a liking to the loyal canine and made sure she had plenty of food, water, and affection.
Boncuk kept up her hospital watch for six whole days until Cemal was finally released! Their reunion was caught on video, and we’ve never seen such a happy, relieved pupper. This sweet girl clearly loves her person, and the feeling is mutual! Cemal said he thought of his dog “constantly” while in the hospital.
