Unsuspecting Stepmom Opens Gift, Then Weeps When She Reads Tag On Blanket.

Family is forever, but for Autumn Rose and her stepmom, Lisa, it’s finally official.

Lisa has been Autumn’s stand in mom for the better part of 17 years. Autumn was only three years old when Lisa came into the picture, and now at 20-years-old decided to give her stepmom a non-refundable gift she’d have no intention of returning.

Autumn sat her mom down on the couch and handed her a beautiful blanket folded in three. An unsuspecting Lisa was teary eyed by the simple gift, but then she unfolded the blanket.

Hidden the folds of the fabric was the real gift. Autumn had surprised her stepmom with adoption papers.

The waterworks began to flow and Lisa took Autumn up in a teary-eyed embrace, that had us reaching for tissues… Check out the note that Autumn wrote to Lisa below.

Being there for my first days of school, letting us learn us from watching you get ready, marrying my dad, giving me two of the biggest blessings of my life, watching me graduate, sending me to college, and helping me with all the little things along the way.

I can’t imagine being able to have gone through life without your support. I know you don’t hear it often, but I’m so thankful and appreciative that you’ve always dealt with it and continued to inspire and support me every day because of your love for me. And to show you how proud I am that you have been through it all over the last 17-years…â€
