Blake Shelton Hits “The Road” In New Video

The Road

In early 2025, Blake Shelton let fans in on a little secret. He and his friend, Keith Urban, were working on a brand-new music competition show for CBS called The Road. Fans had missed Blake terribly since his departure from The Voice and hoped his new adventure would fulfill their dreams. The trailer for The Road dropped, and it looks fantastic. Blake Shelton shared in the clip that getting it right while on tour is tough, but when you do, it’s the best feeling in the world. The Road will follow Keith Urban on tour with hopeful musicians opening at Keith’s shows. The audience will then choose who will hit the road with Keith to the next city.

“The Road” Will Give Musicians A Huge Opportunity

Blake Shelton said The Road could be life-changing.

“There is not a musician in Nashville that wouldn’t want the opportunity to have the stage before a superstar like Keith Urban,” he added.

“Paying your dues sucks, but there are things in this business that can’t be taught, like how to put together a set list, whether to extend or cut a song during your performance or how to work the crowd. For me, touring has always been my first love. It’s where the rubber meets the road. But it’s the only road to take if you want to be a performer,” Keith Urban shared in February.

Fans can’t wait to watch the musicians hit The Road.

“Wow looks like a great show. Can’t wait to see what all the talk is about. With Blake and Keith it has to be special,” one wrote on Instagram.

“oh my godddd what is life rn,” another quipped.

This fan ensures it’s going to be good.

“I’m very excited about this show. I went to the last taping at the Ryman,” they wrote.

The Road will premiere on October 19, and the winner will receive a record contract and $250,000.
