Congratulations to this proud turkey vulture who just joined the team at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary! In an adorable video posted to the organization’s TikTok account, the vulture was instructed to pull the string attached to a decorative banner that read, “He or she, what will it be?” This action released a small cascade of pink paper, signifying that the new vulture is a girl! According to the caption, the bird sanctuary is looking for the perfect name for her.
“Our new turkey vulture is a female and we’re so excited!” they wrote. “Now we’re on the search for a name. Please feel free to drop your top name suggestions in the comments. Staff will choose a handful of their favorites, which will later be voted on by the public!”
Commenters were more than happy to throw their name ideas into the ring. Suggestions included Cranberry, Sandwich, Carrie, and Elvira. Other users were just delighed to have witnessed the bird sanctuary’s adorable gender reveal.
“I’ve never seen a turkey vulture gender reveal before, but now I’m thinking all animals need one,” someone wrote.
