91-Yr-Old Fashionista Is Spreading Joy With At-Home Runway Shows.

People around the world are finding brilliant ways to entertain themselves in quarantine.

Since seniors like Betty McDonald are considered high-risk for the novel coronavirus, they have an even greater need to self-isolate, which can lead to boredom and loneliness. Thankfully, with a little help from caretaker Kim Taylor, Betty has found a stylish way to pass the time – and go viral!

“I’ve got three closets full of clothes … and jewelry like you wouldn’t believe,” Betty said. “I mentioned to my caretaker that I sure miss getting dressed up.”

That was all Kim needed to hear! She realized they could hold daily fashion shows in their front yard in Albany, Georgia, and Betty was thrilled.

So while Betty models her favorite outfits each day, Kim snaps pictures and shares them online. Now, the world is falling in love with the gorgeous 91-year-old!

Each unique look features trinkets she’s gathered over the years – and comes with excellent color coordination!

“I like flashy stuff, as you can tell,” Betty added.

This fashionista is what we all need during this difficult time! The response to her photos has been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, Kim said, “She has lots of people telling her that it’s reminded them that there’s more to life than watching television and hearing the latest on COVID-19.”

The fashion shows also have a positive effect on Betty! Kim said she continuously worried about her health when the pandemic hit, but now she has something fun to keep her mind on the good in the world.

Not to mention, when they read people’s reactions on YouTube, Kim said, “She is like a kid on Christmas Day opening up many gifts.”
