These days, we are appreciating our essential workers more than ever.
As the world battles the novel coronavirus, they are still showing up to keep us safe — and bring us joy! Jodan Price, a FedEx driver in Fishers, Indiana, recently went above and beyond to make one little girl’s day, and his act of kindness is enough to melt our hearts.
Liz Paternoster, a teacher at Fishers High School, recently shared the sweet story on Twitter.
It all started when her oldest daughter was celebrating her birthday at home. As soon as Jodan showed up with a package and realized it was her big day, he quietly went to Dairy Queen for a special treat. When he returned, he had an adorable surprise for the little one: ice cream cupcakes!

Not only did Jodan bring joy to the birthday girl, but he also made her mom’s day!
“OK @FedEx, our driver deserves a bonus!” Liz wrote. “He realized it was our daughter’s birthday and went to @DairyQueen to get her ice cream cupcakes. He said, ‘I just wanted to do this because if we weren’t in this situation, she’d be celebrating with friends.’ I’m not crying. You’re crying!”
The tweet went viral, and people have been showering Jodan with praise ever since!
“Those that know him have reached out to me and described him as an incredibly selfless and kind man who loves to do for others,” Liz said in an update. “Please consider showing him love by tweeting a shout-out or thank-you for just being awesome!”
Both FedEx and Dairy Queen are doing just that! They both reached out to Liz about rewarding Jodan for his wholesome gesture.
This wonderful man deserves all the love! What a great reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can mean the world to someone else.
