Pediatric Nurse Sings Powerful Original Song That Brings BGT Crowd To Tears.

When Beth Porch appeared on “Britain’s Got Talent,” she had no idea she would steal so many hearts.

The pediatric nurse enjoys singing and playing guitar, but she dedicates most of her time to caring for sick kids and comforting their anxious parents. To process the moving experiences she’s had, she wrote an original song to honor her patients – and then brought it onstage to show the world.

In a video of her performance, we see Beth have the usual back-and-forth with celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams.

She tells them about her day-to-day interactions at a large children’s hospital in London and shares how she first started teaching her young friends to make music of their own.

Due to the nature of her job, she’s also seen the hard moments these little ones and their families endure. While she’s not a parent herself, she understands what it means to love a child because of them. That’s what inspired her to write “You Taught Me What Love Is.”

When she starts singing and playing her acoustic guitar, everyone is left speechless. The lyrics are heart-wrenchingly beautiful because they tell a story about the lessons people learn from loss.

“No, I won’t be the same,” she sings. “You taught me to be brave, and though it wasn’t for long, you taught me what love is.”

By the time she finishes, the audience is wiping away tears. After regaining their composure, all four judges give Beth a resounding “yes” and send her to the next round.

We can’t wait to hear the message of love this hero brings to the stage next! In the meantime, Beth is continuing to prove she has a heart of gold by donating all the profits her song makes to NHS charities and the GOSH charity.
