12 Cellists Charm The World With Cheeky Rendition Of “Pink Panther” Classic.

At an international cello competition in Moscow, audiences were wowed with endless feats of orchestral excellence, but one performance in particular stole the show.

A few years back, 12 musicians from the well-loved Berlin Philharmonic created an all-cellist ensemble within the greater group. This award-winning bunch so charmed the world that it came as no surprise when they got the opportunity to perform in the famed Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. They definitely did not disappoint!

Known for their extensive and widely varied repertoire spanning everything from classical to contemporary works, the Berlin Philharmonic cello ensemble began with a taste of both, amazing the crowd with everything from tango to Gershwin. They left everyone with a surprise number that got them all tapping their toes and smiling from ear to ear.

The showstopper was none other than “The Pink Panther Theme,” performed with style, pizzazz, and even a bit of whistling!

It’s safe to say these gifted musicians made upwards of a thousand lifelong fans that night. Check out the entertaining masterpiece in the video below, and share this story with your favorite music (or movie) buff.
