Parents will always be parents, whether they are human or animal. When this beagle puppy got unruly, her dad, Leo, had a few woofs to bestow upon her. He seemed to try a moderately calm approach at first, trying to reason with her.

However, she was giving him a lot of “barktalk,” so he was forced to become more stern. The puppy was trying every excuse in her repertoire, but her beagle dad was not accepting it. Tired of the same old woof and dance, he let loose with a yawn in mid-scold. We explored how other golden retriever dog families handle discipline.
Looking back at Leo’s puppy days before the beagle became a dad lets us know where his daughter got that feistiness. Leo is taking a quick break from attacking his human’s foot below.
Leo’s daughter, below, is about the same size as Leo was when his owner adopted him. She is a fiery little puppy who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
Leo’s human is Annie. The two have been together since Leo’s puppy days. They have shared every moment over the years. That includes a lot of playing, walking, and loving each other.
Leo is approaching his sunset years and is having some health issues. Please keep him in your thoughts.
